What are the best Metro tickets for tourist in Paris ?
Paris Visit ticket
There are three kinds of tickets available, they are as follows :
1- “Pairs visit” ticket.
– “Paris Visite” pass, is a Paris Metro, RER and buses pass valid for up to 5 consecutive days, in zones 1-3 or 1-5, for an unlimited number of journeys.
PARIS VISITE ticket is a special travel pass that entitles tourist to unlimited travel on metro, RER, buses and Transilien SNCF trains.
These tickets allow the holder to obtain discounts on the admission tickets on some of the touristic sites, across city Paris. Always show your “Paris Visite” pass at the ticket counter for your discount.

2- “t+” ticket : single trip
The t+ ticket is designed for occasional travellers and visitors not wishing to use the Paris Visite travel card.
1 ticket = 2 € (approx)
The t+ ticket allows you to travel on:
– Metro lines
– RER lines (RATP and SNCF) within Paris (zone 1)
– Ile-de-France bus lines (RATP and OPTILE), except Orlybus and Roissybus – tramway lines (RATP and SNCF)
– the Montmartre funicular
3- Carnet (10 tickets)
Purchasing a book of 10 t+ tickets allows you to save 27% on the price of buying 10 individual tickets.
